MER helps sponsor the 2009 Charleston Duck-Race
As part of MER's commitment to supporting local charities and fund-raisers, MER is a 2009 sponsor of the Daniel's Island Rotary Club '2009 Charleston Duck Race.' MER donated floating containment boom & labor to help organize the raceway's and contain the duck-race.
Proceeds from the fund-raiser went to the Down Syndrome Association of the Lowcountry, East Cooper Community Outreach, East Cooper Meals-on-Wheels, Friends of Berkeley County Library, Junior Achievement of Coastal South Carolina.

New Orleans Oil Spill Response
MER management personnel were on-scene to assess the situation the day of the release. On Friday, July 25th, Moran Environmental Recovery (MER) was authorized to dispatch resources to assist in the clean-up effort. Resources include personnel, various types of work boats, oil skimmers, pressure washers, and absorbent materials. All were dispatched in a collective effort from each of MER's East Coast resource centers.
